The introduction of the “Hypercasket” is our Article of the Month

The introduction of Titan Casket Company’s new product the “Hypercasket” was the most read article on Funeral Director Daily over the past 30 days. . . . But, there were other articles dealing with other issues such as cremation, creativity, start-ups, and acquisitions that also found there way into our Top 5.

If you missed some of these articles, we present them once again to our readers.

  1. Titan introduces the “Hypercasket”
  2. Where’s Waldo? . . .and what happened to Eirene?
  3. Cremation has grown to a rate where growth is now “decelerating”
  4. What about a “Creative Room”
  5. It’s July 29. . . .Will Park Lawn Corporation be going private?  What does that mean for Homesteaders Life?

It wasn’t just the articles that kept me busy this month. . . . I had noticed over time that it takes me longer to reach the Funeral Director Daily website on my computer.   Sometimes to the point that it was frustrating.  So, I enlisted my technology vendor and our website host, GoDaddy, to look into the issues.

It was a pretty simple diagnosis by them — at certain times of the day, especially in the morning, FDD had more readers trying to access our site than our website was equipped to handle.  GoDaddy suggested a larger capacity which we invested in and now I’m getting to the site very quick. . . I hope you also see the improvement.

I’ve got a couple of other technical issues that I am working on and hope to have functioning very well in a fashion that will lead to even more reader satisfaction. . . .Give my technology guys a little more time and we hope to get there.

In the meantime, monthly pageviews continue to climb over time.  Not always, but most of the time we can see improvement month over month in our readership numbers.  As I keep trying to improve I continue to hope that the service that I give to you readers is commensurate with the confidence you put in me to deliver business, finance, and service oriented material to your inbox five days per week.

I’ll also remind you that I could not continue this service without the sponsors who make it possible.  I know that you all have choices in the vendors you use, but take a look at the companies that help bring you this daily information on Death Care and give them a chance to earn your business when appropriate.

Thanks again for reading Funeral Director Daily!!!
