Titan Casket scores positive PR from Taylor Swift video

The streets of Death Care and the avenues of Entertainment don’t seem to collide too often at an intersection.  But every once in a while they do and when they do it generally leads to some publicity.  According to this article from Bloomberg that intersection just happened with a highly performing music video by artist Taylor Swift that contained a product placement of a Titan brand casket prominently displayed.

It’s interesting to note that Taylor Swift made history in the past week by being the recording artist for all of the ten top hits in the “Billboard Top 100”.  Her song “Anti-Hero” is listed at #1 and it is in that video that the Titan product appears.  The music video of “Anti-Hero” has received 34 million views in its first six-days.

It’s also interesting to note in this article from Billboard that Swift has just passed Madonna for the most Top 10 hits in the Billboard Chart’s 64-year history.  Swift now has had 40 Top 10 hits surpassing Madonna’s 38.

Titan Casket is a direct-to-consumer online casket company that has recently began a program to supply caskets at wholesale costs to partner funeral homes.  You can learn more about that Titan Casket program here.

More from Death Care and Entertainment:  It’s been difficult for me to locate but from this information it appears that the move “The Burial” was to be released on November 2.  “The Burial” was filmed this past March and stars Tommy Lee Jones, Jimmy Foxx, and Jurnee Smollet.  It tells the true story of the Loewen Group, its takeover of a Mississippi funeral home, and the court case that follows.  According to this Wikipedia article it is to be released by Amazon Studios.

I love the fun in this fundamentally moody business of death care.
It means, for me, there’s more in the details of every endeavor. Thanks
