NFDA puts blitz on Baltimore

I recently received an e-mail from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) informing me of the NFDA International Convention and Expo that will be taking place in Baltimore, Maryland, from October 9-12, 2022.  After two years of having to worry about Covid, I figured it is time to get it on my calendar and be taking part again. . . . . .I don’t know what the attendance for last fall’s expo was, but I’m pretty sure that with the country recently unlocking from Covid issues that it was not as grand and large as in the past.

I think it is time to get together and bring a big crowd to Baltimore. . . .and NFDA is going to help by putting plenty on the program. . . enough for everybody.  Here’s some of what’s in store for October in Baltimore (as promoted by the NFDA):

Keynote Speakers who will enlighten and inspire–

  • Wednesday, October 12: Embrace Your Thoughts, Elevate Your Life presented by John O’Leary, author, motivational speaker, and host of the “Live Inspired” podcast

  • Online Deathcare: Evolving Consumer Expectations presented by Lee Senderov, Foundation Partners Group; Luke Frieberg, eFuneral; Sally Camm, Astound Commerce; Scott Ankerholz, Foundation Partners Group

Innovation that flourishes in the Expo Hall–

Many exhibitors plan to introduce new products and services during the convention. The Expo Hall will be open October 10 and 11 from noon to 5 p.m.; and October 12 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Inconvenient truth: operators of crematories and cemeteries are facing increasing regulatory pressure. Denying trends does not stop them from happening, while clinging to the past is a recipe for failure. No business wants to become the next Polaroid Corporation. Understanding the outside forces shaping the funeral industry is vital to your business’s ability to thrive. Discover new options to offer the family’s you serve.
