Most of the news out of the South Pacific dealing with Death Care has been about the prolonged potential takeover of Australia’s largest funeral and cremation provider, InvoCare, by the United States based private equity firm TPG Global.  However, while that potential marriage is still under consideration, Propel Funeral Partners, the 2nd largest provider in Australia and New Zealand is not sitting still.

According to this recent market clip, Propel Funeral Partners has now finalized it recent acquisitions of Sydney, Australia based Olsens Funerals and New Zealand based J Fraser & Sons Funeral Services.  Again, according to the release, the aggregate purchase price was AUS $ 41.2 million (US $ 27.6 million).

Olsens Funerals offers ten locations in the metropolitan Sydney market and J Fraser & Sons offers two locations in New Zealand.
