Funeral Director Daily is sharing our Wednesday Afternoon Edition to simply make you aware of the National Funeral Director’s (NFDA) “Brush with Death” podcast series and one of its latest editions.  We want to make you aware of Podcast #56 entitled “In Loving Memory of Todd Van Beck“.

Here’s what NFDA says about this edition of “A Brush with Death“: “In this episode, we say goodbye to Todd Van Beck, an individual who dedicated his life to this profession, and those who worked within it.”

Todd W. Van Beck, known as the “Funeral Director’s Funeral Director” died on May 23, 2023, at the age of 71 years.  He was a funeral director, a teacher, a writer, a funeral historian, and simply a friend to many of us in funeral service over the years.  He served on many boards within the profession including the Funeral Service Foundation Board.

His death prompted NFDA to make this statement, “Todd was a beloved and trusted colleague and friend to many in funeral service.  His countless contributions to funeral service will continue to shape the profession long into the future.”
