It’s nice to receive a little recognition
Funeral Director Daily has been a labor of love for me since the inception. And, I’m especially grateful for those sponsors who are willing to step up and provide the funding for some of the costs it takes to keep a website blog on the web and disseminated five days per week to interested readers.

Tom Anderson
Funeral Director Daily
I’ve always worked with sense of honor and humility over the responsibility that was given to me to care for other’s loved ones following their death and I continue to have that sense in providing Funeral Director Daily to those in the profession who choose to follow my thoughts and ideas.
One of my friends talks about his occupational position and relates that he prefers to work with a sense of “Low ego and High output”. I feel the same way, but at the same time want to let those who follow and/or sponsor Funeral Director Daily know that their faith in the project is paying off.
Recently we found ourselves in the news when the good folks at ASD related to their clients “18 Must-know Funeral Director Resources”. Right there among those resources was this one-man show Funeral Director Daily. Here’s what the people at ASD said about the blog:
“Retired Minnesota funeral director, Tom Anderson, established FuneralDirectorDaily.com in 2017 to provide the funeral service community with a new kind of news site. His approach is to search the internet for recent, timely articles related to deathcare and to share both a summary of the article and his own personal analysis. His insights are grounded in a lifetime working in the funeral profession, offering a perspective that blends practical experience with a deep understanding of the industry’s evolving landscape.
Whether he’s discussing emerging trends, business strategies, or cultural shifts in how society approaches death and mourning, Tom brings a thoughtful and seasoned voice to each topic. We always learn something new from reading his thoughts, and his blog has become an invaluable resource for professionals seeking to stay informed and inspired in their work.”
Shortly after reading those comments I was also informed by the people at Feedspot that the Funeral Director Daily blog was ranked 6th among Top 100 most influential Funeral Service blogs in the world. In their short explanation of Funeral Director Daily they said:
“Funeral Director Daily is a website that covers various topics related to the funeral care industry, including business, finance, regulations, cemetery, cremation, preneed, and products. The website features articles and news updates on these subjects.”
By the way, Feedspot ranked the funeralOne blog as the number one most influential funeral service blog in the world.
I want to thank not only the sponsors for helping finance this resource but you readers as well. My hope is that I can continue to bring you timely and thought provoking insight on all things Death Care that you can use to, potentially, improve your business in some small way to further the Death Care profession as we all move forward.
Finally, the Funeral Director Daily subscriber count continues to grow and we continue to have increased readership — Thanks!! Our May 2025 pageview number shows an increase of 9.8% over last year during the same period. Thanks again!!!
My pledge is to continue to deliver relative content that is commensurate with the confidence that the readers and sponsors of Funeral Director Daily have placed in me.

Well done Tom. Always enjoy reading your blog and look forward to reading it.
Keep up the Good Work
Thank You
Tom,
For a guy that left the profession many years ago to pursue other ambitions I am eternally grateful for your daily blog! Mainly because even though I left the profession I still like to be kept abreast of what is going on. Plus, you are and always have been a great friend!

No doubt you are needed, desired, and pressed. Thank you, Sir, for all you do, and for continuing to do so as well.
This type of recognition doesn’t get passed out like they do samples at Costco, so good on you. I’m always telling clients that they need to signup for FDD. I’m happy for you!
Congratulations Tom! Nice to see you get this well-deserved recognition!
