Funeral Professionals Peer Support celebrates its 3rd Year on Tuesday evening

The Cremation Association of North America (CANA) sponsored Funeral Professionals Peer Support celebrates it’s 3rd birthday with tomorrow night’s virtual meeting.  It was in 2021 when the meetings first started and according to information from CANA tomorrow’s meeting “will reflect on three years of change and growth in the funeral profession”.

CANA tells us that Michael Dixon will facilitate this special peer support meeting to share what inspired him to found Funeral Professionals Peer Support and describe how it’s evolved.

CANA also tells us in their press release on the event that  “In recent years, more and more funeral professionals are opening up about their own challenges, particularly in the wake of the pandemic’s strain on the profession. Michael will share his experience with peer support and facilitate discussion on how the funeral sector has changed its approach to mental health and what we see for the future of the profession”.

All workers in the funeral profession are invited to attend.  This month’s meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 18, at 8 PM Eastern Time (7 PM Central and 5 PM Pacific time).  To learn more about the event and how to join the Zoom link for the event you can click here.
