Another way to memorialize cremated remains

As we move into the weekend I thought I would just leave you with an article to read about another – what some might say is innovative – way to memorialize a loved one.  I wrote earlier this week that I am one who would opt to bury a loved one’s cremated remains in a cemetery or place in a columbarium.  However, I am not remiss in understanding that there are those who would like to memorialize loved ones in more creative ways.

Today, I noticed this article about a young lady who has finished courses in fine arts painting while working as a non-licensed staff in a funeral home.  Her next ambition is to be accepted to mortuary school to become trained to work professionally in that realm.

The young lady, Cassidy Raye Ponton, has memorialized cremated remains by putting them in paint and using that paint to create a work of art.  In this article she mentions that one of her future goals is to operate a funeral home where this service would be available to clientele.
