The Tribecca Film Festival is underway in New York City and tonight June 9, Friday, and Saturday, the next Death Care industry movie, Death Boom, will be one of the featured attractions.

Here’s what is said as part of the synopsis of the movie as explained on the Tribecca Film Festival website:

“Eighty years ago, the “Baby Boom” led to a massive uptick in births. Now, we’re seeing the inevitable end of that surge as those tens of millions of people pass away. This fascinating doc explores the dilemma now facing the funeral industry and the many inventive solutions being pioneered.”

The same synopis goes on to say this:

In this eye-opening and comprehensive documentary, director Jessica Chandler and producer Eli Roth, who serves as both narrator and on-screen guide, take viewers on an all-access-granted look at this under-discussed issue and how the funeral industry is handling it, sitting down with experts in the field for a firsthand report from the ground level. While never losing sight of the topic’s seriousness, Chandler’s shrewdly accessible doc is a wake-up call of a film that’s also highly entertaining and often quite funny.”

The movie is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio.

At this time, no over the air or streaming dates have been announced.

Just from viewing the trailer for this film… It’s obvious and apparent that it’s full of outright untruths and misconceptions… and I think I’m being generous in that initial impression. It appears to be yet another obvious attempt to convey a socially-directed message designed to change society’s views and preferences… disguised as a “documentary” targeting a specific industry… in this case, death care.

Sadly, we live in a society where clicks and online adulation are more important than common sense and dignity. More so, we have done it to ourselves. Aside from the goth wannabes, this movie will soon be forgotten, with no real benefit coming from its existence.
