Write obituaries with Artificial Intelligence from Legacy.com

For the last six months or so you would have had to be hiding in a cave not to hear all the hype in the business and technology world about “Artificial Intelligence” or “AI” as it is simply called.  Just the thought of what this powerful, intuitive, creation will be able to do going forward has, in my opinion, moved several public companies upward in value as investors think about the possibilities for the technology as time marches forward.

And, as always happens, the Death Care profession will be touched by the new technology at some point in time.  With Artificial Intelligence, that time may already be here.  I’ve seen some demonstrations where Artificial Intelligence is being used to discuss online arrangements and/or pre-arrangements, as well as giving out consumer information, using generated avatars with humans on the other side of the keyboard.  That’s not only coming. . . it’s here.

In the mean-time, Legacy.com, the global leader in online obituaries, put out this press release earlier in June about their “AI”-powered obituary writing assistant named “ObitWriter®”.  According to that release, “ObitWriter® is a revolutionary tool that uses advanced algorithms to turn a user’s input into obituaries that are not only accurate but also personalized. And the best part? It’s completely free for families or funeral directors to use.”

The press release also states, “Legacy is also making its powerful ObitWriter® technology available directly to its media partners nationwide for inclusion in self-service platforms used by consumers and funeral homes in the time-honored tradition of announcing a loved one’s passing in their local newspaper.”

Alan Press, the CEO of Legacy.com said this in the press release, “We’re thrilled to launch ObitWriter®, which we believe will become an essential tool for families and individuals looking to create a meaningful and personalized obituary.  Our AI-powered tool makes it easy for anyone to create an accurate and well-written obituary, and the ability to submit it to any newspaper or publication with just a few clicks is a game-changer.”

It is evil. AI is part of the New World Order. It is satanic. This is the road to robots taking over the human race eventually making humans extinct.
