Many of our friends in the support service to funeral professionals offer educational experiences through white papers or webinars that are very valuable.  Today I’m just taking the time to get some of the information to you. . . .If you are so inclined get these opportunities for enrichment on your schedule.

 

From Clifton Larson Allen:  An interesting short-topic read entitled, “Making decisions in Inflationary Times”.  This short read goes into the topics of supply chain, labor, and pricing, and how dealing with those items in inflationary times is a must.  You can read the article here.

From the Cremation Association of North America (CANA):  The monthly Peer Support for Funeral Professionals is fast approaching.  The next session is set for Tuesday, May 17.  You can learn more about the event here.

Here’s what CANA says about the upcoming May session, “Finding balance between the need to protect the workforce, comply with regulations, and serve families is something we can all relate to. In May, Paul Harris facilitates a discussion about your concerns about health and safety on the job.  Open to everyone across North America, no registration is required to attend, simply mark your calendar and save the Zoom link to access the meeting.”

From Funeral Director’s Life Insurance and Passare:  “Carts, Caskets, and Contracts: Connecting Your Funeral Home to eCommerce.”  This webinar is scheduled for Thursday, May 19.  FDLIC says “There is a rise in online funeral shoppers who want the options to plan and pay for their arrangements online.”

This seminar will show trends around eCommerce and how they relate to the Six types of funeral consumers.  You can find more information here.

From the National Funeral Director’s Association:  NFDA is offering a free one hour seminar that includes one CEU on Thursday, May 12.  The seminar is entitled, “When a Child dies:  Resources for funeral directors and parents.

On the registration form NFDA says, “After the death of a child, as the funeral professional, you are not only receiving the body of the child, but the heart and soul of the family.  Learn how to bring your expertise and compassion to the family as you guide them in the difficult decisions from transferring the care of their child to you to their final goodbye. “
