Happy Thanksgiving To All

At Funeral Director Daily we are very blessed.  Funeral service has been very good to us and we have had the satisfaction of knowing that we made a difference in the lives of many by the way we helped during their time of loss.  I’ve also been blessed by having a wife and children who understood my role in the community and that that role sometimes caused me to miss important family functions.

Like many other professions, funeral service is not an 8-hour per day occupation.  Those of us who have been on the front lines know all too well the friction that can come from family and friends by serving 24/7.  That friction can cause all kind of hurt feelings with loved ones  — feelings that you give more to work than you give to your family.

Even if you are on duty tomorrow, make sure that you take the time today (and tomorrow and everyday) to thank your loved ones for keeping the fires burning at home when you are out doing you duty for society and your community.  Don’t take for granted the loved ones who are alone because you have to work.  Let them know that you miss them too.

Funeral service professionals do important work for their communities.  And, your families do important work at home when you cannot be there.  Let them know that you care.

Here – for our American readers – is wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving Day.  Give thanks for that in which you are blessed.

Just a reminder that Funeral Director Daily will not be publishing Thursday and Friday of this week in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday.
