I noticed a press release come out from Foundation Partners Group last week that announced the private funeral, cemetery and cremation operating company had made a purchase of the Healey Mortuary and Crematory in Salinas, California.  Checking more into that press release on the company’s web-site I came across two other stories about Foundation Partners continued expansion.  I noticed that they had purchased another funeral home in Wisconsin and had expanded to their 4th Funeral Alternatives of Washington location in the Seattle area.  You can read more about these transactions from the Foundation Partners web-site here.

The Healey Mortuary acquisition will, according to the press release, give Foundation Partners Group six locations in what they call the California Central Coast.  Bob Bukala, Foundation Partner’s President and CEO was quoted in the press release as saying, “This is a strong acquisition for us as it allows us to add the leading funeral services provider in Salinas, while continuing to build our presence along the Central Coast.”

Healey Mortuary and Crematory was founded in 1956 in the Salinas Valley by Herb and Joyce Healey.

Funeral Director Daily take:  The other two transactions we mention in the first paragraph seem to also reflect the “cluster” philosophy that seems to be one of Foundation Partners strategies as they grow their company.  The Wisconsin addition adds to their cluster in the Greater Milwaukee area and the addition of another Funeral Alternatives location in Washington increases their presence there as well.

The operating footprint of Foundation Partners Group locations virtually covers the entire lower 48 states from east to west.  They own and operate funeral homes, cremation centers, and cemeteries in 17 of those states and are not shy in letting others know that they are interested in expansion as mentioned in their recent press release.
