FDD keeps growing. .requesting contributing articles

Thanks to our readers and a solid word of mouth presence in the death care profession, Funeral Director Daily continues to grow our readership.  As you can see from the chart below we continue to grow slow and sure among decision makers in the funeral, cemetery, and cremation world.  Thank you.

We continue to show upward mobility in all categories including daily subscribers, Search Engine Optimization one time viewers, and total monthly views.  I continue to enjoy doing this as a hobby and enjoy doing the research and writing and, especially, hearing from those of you who might get some small benefit from the news and commentary I share.

Funeral Director Daily has had some glitches as we move forward with more subscribers and page views.  Notice the dip in readership in September.  That is when we started accepting Sponsorship advertising and, unknown to us for awhile, that process moved many of our subscriber e-mails into their Spam folders because of the advertising.  Once we found out about it, we got it corrected and moved forward.

If you look at the numbers and the sponsorship opportunities, we believe they are very good and getting better.  For instance, back in April, at our cost for Sponsorship, one impression view cost the sponsoring business 7.6 cents.  Today we have driven that down to an impression costing only 3.2 cents per impression. . . so for every dollar spent sponsoring Funeral Director Daily, sponsors are now getting over 31 viewable impressions per dollar compared to only 13.15 viewable impressions per dollar back one year ago. . . .and those impressions are by all kinds of leaders in the death care industry.

We believe that we can bring industry leading Top of Mind Awareness (TOMA) to sponsors by repetition of low cost sponsorships.  If you are interested in helping our cause and spreading news and commentary about the death care industry on three continents let us know as we would love to have you as a sponsor and we believe that you cannot get the impressions – by industry leaders and decision makers – at a lower price point.

I would be remiss not to thank those industry leaders who took the plunge with us back last fall — Cressy Memorial (creators of the Crown Urn Vault), ASD, Johnson Consulting Group, and Laker Planning Service.  If you are interested in joining this group as sponsors of Funeral Director Daily please contact me via e-mail at asi@rea-alp.com.

Call for Contributors —  I enjoy researching and writing but I also know that some of our best read columns have been guest columns by industry people who just wanted an outlet for their news or commentary.  If you are interested in contributing an article or two let me know and we can see if we can get it in our schedule and get your ideas noticed by thousands in the profession.  You can reach me at the following email: asi@rea-alp.com

Again, thanks for reading!!  The best compliment we could have is if you can pass the site for Funeral Director Daily on to your friends in the business.

    Tom,
You should be very proud of what you have put together! I love reading what’s going on in the Funeral industry. You do a great job in covering new trends that the consumer continues to demand. Some are pretty outlandish, such as compost! Who’d thunk!
    Your friend,
    Duey
