In less than a month Carriage Services will be hosting the inaugural  “Carriage Cares Open”.  This fund-raising golf tournament will be held on October 10 at the Woodlands Resort Golf Club in Houston, Texas.  The one-day Scramble event will raise money for the Carriage Cares Foundation and benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston.

The Carriage Cares Foundation was conceived in 2017 and up to this time has distributed money to local charities and employees in need.  It has also established the Ky’Saan Piatti College Scholarship which awards an annual scholarship to youth in need.

The Scramble-format golf event will be held at the Woodlands Resort Golf Club, home of the PGA Champions Tour annual Insperity Invitational event.

There are sponsorship opportunities available and it is possible that there may still be golf opportunities available.  While I was waiting for an appropriate time to put this event information in Funeral Director Daily, I inadvertently went past the “posted” deadline for golfers.  However, here is the information in case it is still possible.

Funeral service is truly a camaraderie business and Carriage Services states that this event is “A day of camaraderie, competition, and community support”.
