CANA Peer Support tonight. . . and more

It’s already the 3rd Tuesday of the month when our friends at the Cremation Association of North American (CANA) help to produce the monthly Death Care Peer Support meetings online.  It will happen again tonight at 8 pm Eastern Time/ 7 pm Central Time.

Here’s what CANA says about these meetings:

“Join our regular third Tuesday meeting for Funeral Professionals Peer Support. This meeting is open to anyone who serves their communities during some of their worst moments, providing care to the grieving. That includes everyone from the front office to the back room, chapel to gravesite, suited to coveralls — and everyone in-between. As a peer support meeting, all are invited to share personal experiences and connect with people who understand what you experience everyday.

Open to everyone across North America, no registration is required to attend, simply mark your calendar and save the Zoom link to access the meeting.

No CE is available because this is the time to connect. CANA is proud to host what is hopefully the first of many of these meetings, but staff will not be attending to give you the space to talk to your peers and share. You do not need to be a CANA Member to participate.

Apprentices, interns, and students: you are welcome!

And, here is a webinar coming up on Wednesday, February 21.  It is entitled “How to use business intelligence to lead your Business” and is brought to readers, in part, by Creedy & Company.  Here’s a little of what they say about the subjects you will learn about:

Alan Creedy

“Funeral homes can no longer afford to operate “out of their hip pocket.” Most funeral homes, today, have enough data. They just don’t know how to compile it so they know what it says and, more important, what they need to do…or not do. In just the last few years data driven business intelligence has become available and affordable to small businesses. In this webinar, Alan Creedy, business adviser of Creedy & Co., will help attendees understand how to assess the direction of their business in a glance and know whether to go back to sleep or take action and where to take it.”
