NFDA recaps New Orleans

The National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) recently held their annual international convention and expo in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Here’s a link to the NFDA website where they recap all that happened.

If you don’t have time to read it all, here’s a little quote from NFDA’s first paragraph, “Participants engaged in cutting-edge education, world-class exhibits and unparalleled networking opportunities, all designed to help them thrive in a rapidly evolving profession. As the largest gathering of funeral professionals worldwide, this year’s convention once again set the standard for excellence and leadership in the funeral service industry.”

According to the NFDA input, total convention attendance was 5,159 which consisted of 3,504 participants and 2,015 exhibitor representatives.  Included in that total were 418 international attendees representing 34 countries or territories.  The exhibit hall contained about 87,500 square feet of exhibitor space which featured 364 exhibitors.

That’s the nuts and bolts nexus of the event and you can learn more from the provided link on all of the various programs that helped make New Orleans special for those of us that were fortunate enough to attend.

On to Chicago!!!  —  Next year, the 144th NFDA International Convention & Expo will take place October 26-29 in Chicago, Illinois.  Make sure to mark you calendar now and reserve the date!!
