A couple of updates. . . .

Here is a couple of articles that we found concerning items that have been in the news lately. . .

An article that you can find here concerns a lawsuit filed in Wayne County, Michigan last July that a judge has now paved the way for the suit to be certified as a a Class Action”.  The lawsuit claims that the plaintiffs daughter’s remains were mishandled and has been filed a against a funeral home, a hospital, a college, and a cemetery.  The class action status will allow others, who believe the same about their loved ones,  to join in as plaintiffs.

This article is about a funeral home in Canada that was recently approved by its city council to install and operate an alkaline hydrolysis (sometimes knows as water or flameless cremation) in the community.

Finally, here is an article that comes to us from the island of Malta.  As we talk of direct cremation increasing all over the world and alkaline hydrolysis coming of age as a choice, the island of Malta is posturing and getting ready to allow for disposition by cremation

An Alkaline Hydrolysis machine

for the first time and install the island’s first crematory.
