PlotBox to showcase “end-to-end” funeral home software at NFDA

I recently learned from a press release from PlotBox that the company intends to “showcase their end-to-end Funeral Home software, built for the complexity of modern deathcare, at this year’s NFDA International Convention and Expo in Charlotte, October 25 thru 28.”

According to the press release, that you can read here, “PlotBox is designed for how modern deathcare actually runs: one record, one continuous workflow, and no double entry.”

PlotBox Head of E-Commerce Deena Timmons made this prepared statement in the press release, “Families today expect seamless digital experiences – from online payments and planning, to memorialization options.  EverAfter Connect gives funeral homes those capabilities, and because it’s fed directly by PlotBox, they get a modern, high-touch digital engagement platform without adding extra admin to their workload.”

The press release encourages visitors at the NFDA convention to visit both the EverAfter Connect booth and the PlotBox & EverAfter Connect Booth to learn more about the products that they are offering.

According to the press release those that visit these booths will learn about:

End-to-End Operational Funeral Home Case Flow: Seamless management of First Call, Removal, Arrangement Conferences, Scheduling, Obituaries, and Document Generation without re-typing case details.

Zero-Friction Website & Family Portal: Case updates automatically sync to the funeral home’s website and EverAfter Connect family portal, offering online family arrangements, e-signatures, digital tributes, and secure payments.

E-Commerce & Family Support: New integrated floral tribute purchasing directly within the memorial experience, generating revenue while simplifying family interactions.

Full Chain of Custody & Cremation Management: Real-time QR decedent tracking provides complete visibility and accountability across every stage of disposition.

Financial & Funeral Pre-Need Management: Powered by PlotBox Pay, financial tracking, trust accounting, and billing remain directly connected to case records.

Eva AI™ Deathcare Assistant: PlotBox’s new native AI assistant is now live across the platform, accelerating routine administrative workflows and giving time back for what matters.

AI-powered mapping: Another new PlotBox innovation – discover practical AI built for deathcare, providing total truth for cremation and burial spaces, with an always-on inventory audit, greater risk prevention, increased revenue, and huge time savings.

Funeral Director Daily take:  I’m an old fashioned funeral director and not in a position to give reviews on “technology” subjects and products.  However, I do know that the use of technology is fast becoming a neccessity in the world of Death Care.

Not only are customers no longer being exclusively acquired via the old-fashioned and proven “church and community” method but more and more often by reaching out to find clientele via technology.  As a matter of fact, recent surveys show that up to 40% of Death Care consumers have found their Death Care provider online.

And, technology is not only being used to lure consumers to your door step. . . . it is being used by funeral directors and funeral homes to make the funeral director and client families’ experiences better as well.

I’m a real believer in giving a company’s employees the best tools to help them get the job done. . . . While to do so may have to “sharpen youor learning curve”, but if you own or manage a funeral home knowing what technology is available is an absolute must for keeping your employees up-t0-date and happy with their employment experience.
