Make sure your obituary postings get seen

It’s imperative in today’s information age where all kinds of information is available to the public that the obituaries your funeral home disseminates get seen by the appropriate audience.  It’s no different than what I do with Funeral Director Daily — using the right techniques to make sure my postings on Facebook get maximum exposure within the Death Care community audience.

With your local funeral home if your postings are hitting the wrong targets or getting scrolled over you are not only disappointing those that use your funeral home by not getting their service message out, but you are also, more than likely, falling behind on building your brand and turning casual observers into followers and potential customers.

I get it.  There is a lot involved with running your own funeral home and taking the time to make sure you are reaching the proper audience to both please your customers and build your brand market share is not always the “top of moment” situation that needs to be addressed at the funeral home.  However, if you are not regularly making the time to address things such as publicity and complete customer satisfaction that neglect will probably come back to haunt you in the form of lower service volumes.

If you can succeed in “getting more eyes” on your obituaries you can probably not only drive higher customer satisfaction numbers but can also probably increase brand awareness, drive more website traffic, and stay a “Top of Mind” name in your community.  That’s why making sure that you have the best reach and visibility for obituaries is so important.

That’s why I might argue that it is important that you look into Ring Ring Marketing’s newly created feature titled “Obituary Promotion Service”.  Ring Ring Marketing’s founder Welton Hong has proved for years how his services can help funeral homes gain business and on this informational page about the “Obituary Promotion Service” he explains in a short video how he can help you promote your obituaries to a more marketing-driven feature.

Funeral Director Daily take:  Like I said earlier, “I get it” about being busy and the idea that marketing strategy, especially one that seems as innocuous as “obituary visibility” in the market, takes time.  However, it is not only about the time. . . . business strategy in today’s funeral home world can be many siloed and it just is not possible to be an expert in all of the various silos that need to be addressed.

More and more funeral homes are now contracting with marketing services such as Ring Ring Marketing to not only get professional advice, but simply save their time so they can spend that time working one-on-one with families they are serving.
