A transition in leadership at Foundation Partners Group

We learned late last week that CEO Kent Robertson was leaving cremation centered acquisition group and operating company Foundation Partners Group and also learned that the interim management of the Orlando, Florida, based business would be led in the interim by Chris Blackwell with assistance from former FPG CEO Bob Bukala.

In a short release from Foundation Partners Group it was mentioned that Blackwell and Bukala will be serving on an interim basis while the company searches for a new Chief Executive Officer.  It was also noted that Blackwell will serve in the capacity of Interim CEO.

According to the website of Foundation Partners Group:

As Interim Chief Executive Officer, Chris Blackwell brings over 25 years of experience as a successful finance and investment executive. He oversees the company’s long-term growth, vision, and strategy, establishing Foundation Partners Group as an innovative leader in its industry. His leadership roles include Head of Investment Banking for Canaccord Genuity and Group Leader and Managing Director of Diversified Industries and Sponsor coverage at both CIBC and Scotia Bank. Chris also brought his expertise to international markets, having lived in Hong Kong while leading CIBC World Markets’ investment bank for Asia. A former Partner at Access Holdings, Chris holds an Honors Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at The University of Western Ontario and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.”

That company will not succeed until their private equity owner is no longer involved. Cycling through executives every few years and pretending they know more about funeral service than the people they hire to run the business.
