With “Sunset app” you can now help your families settle estates and collect a commission for doing so

According to information that I have believed reliable not every death requires an estate attorney to settle an estate.  However, with every death in which there are assets left somebody has to find those assets and distribute them to the heirs.

I recently came across a product, Sunset, that advertises that “(The Sunset app) Estate Settlement is the only automated, and customer-facing tool to completely automate the estate settlement process. Not only does Sunset automatically find all estate assets, the tool also automates the distribution process, saving families and executors thousands of hours of stress, and months of frustration.”

It is a product that has been developed by FinTech (Financial Technology) experts Stephen Walter and Kaela Worthen.  Both have a decade of experience in the FinTech world.

As you can imagine finding families with a recent death in the family to use this tool is a customer acquisition goal of Sunset.  What I find interesting is that Sunset has initiated a “Referral Partnership Program” with funeral directors to spur customer acquisition.

According to an advertisement from Sunset, “Death care professionals can now partner with Sunset on a referral basis
to provide families and executors the tool they need to quickly and easily manage the entire settlement process.”

To learn more about the Sunset app and/or look into a partnership program with them you can access their partnership information here.

To learn more about the product and company in general, here is their customer facing website.

Funeral Director Daily take:  From my point of view this can be another “tool in the revenue toolkit” for funeral homes.  There is nothing easier that receiving a commission to help raise the revenue per case of death calls you are handling.  It is no secret that as services such as direct cremation increase, service revenues on a per case basis will more than likely decline.

That puts the ability to be able to offer to your clientele such ancillary income items as cremation jewelry, solidified remains, placement at places such as Better Place Forests, and now the Sunset app as rising in importance in the quest for larger bottom line numbers.

Having the knowledge of the product and the relationship with the vendor is the first step in the way to build greater ancillary revenues for your funeral home.
