Take Ring Ring Marketing for a Test Drive

 

 

When it comes to technology I am a confessed “Novice”.  And personally, with Social Media I am pretty quiet too. . . . or maybe my life is dull enough that none of it deserves to be shouted from the rooftops on all the “sharing’ sites.

 

However, from having Funeral Director Daily be diseminated daily on Facebook and X (Twitter) I do understand how these mediums can spread some items like wildfire.

 

Every day I check the number of page views Funeral Director Daily gets.  Over a month’s time I try to write articles that touch on all aspects of Death Care. . . and I’ve gotten pretty good at estimating which articles will get top numbers for page views.

 

However, every once in a while I am really surprised by the high readership numbers an article will bring in. . . .what I’ve learned over the years is Funeral Director Daily has a very good base of readership, but when the numbers get huge for an article it is most likely because someone has “shared” that article on Facebook or Twitter and we found readers who wouldn’t normally get the article.

That’s good in a number of ways. . . First of all, it brings in higher viewership to Funeral Director Daily and exposes some of my sponsors to potential new business relationships.  Finally, some of those people read the article, look at Funeral Director Daily and become subscribers which grows our base and gives us more readers who might “share” future articles and keep the cycle moving.

 

I also have learned that nobody uses the Yellow Pages as their base medium of advertising anymore.  Television, radio, and the internet are there to help with a message, but nothing can get your message out in a way you want to spread it better than “Social Media” in today’s world.
