Australia’s InvoCare makes another acquisition

It was announced last week that the largest provider of death care services in Australia and New Zealand would be making another acquisition.

InvoCare announced last week that they would be purchasing Australian Heritage Funerals located in Toowoomba, Queensland.  According to an article and news video you can read and see here, the closing will be by the end of July.

According to our information on InvoCare, they operate in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore and have about 290 funeral locations and 16 cemeteries and crematoria.  Here are some other related businesses that they are involved in:

  • Heaven Address — an on-inline community where you can find obituaries, memorials, and other information in the death care space.  You can view their web-site here.
  • LifeArt Coffins — coffins built and sold in the United Kingdom and Australia.  Soon to be available in Hong Kong and Europe.  You can view their web-site here.

Funeral Director Daily take:  We always find it interesting delving into what is happening around the world in the death care and funeral profession space.  We have been impressed in the “full-service” options of InvoCare and how they have branded their differing funeral and memorial establishments to stay relevant to all members of the communities that they serve.
