Foundation Partners adds Arizona Firm

Earlier in January it was announced that Foundation Partners Group had acquired the Angel Valley Funeral Home & Old Pueblo Crematory in Tucson, Arizona.  According to a press release from Foundation Partners that you can read here, Mike and Dee Dee Orcutt had owned the business for about ten years prior to this change of ownership.

Mike Orcutt stated, “I had spoken to Foundation Partners several years ago, but we were not quite ready to retire at that point.  When Dee Dee and I decided it was finally time, we knew we would call Foundation Partners first because they really understood the cremation business.”

Again, according to the release, Foundation Partners Group, headquartered in Orlando, owns and operates funeral homes, cremation centers, and cemeteries in 17 states and is actively seeking to expand its locations throughout the U.S.

Funeral Director Daily take:  Our view is that this is another solid strategic acquisition by Foundation Partners.  They already operate the Bring Broadway Chapel in Tucson and this development continues to scale their business in that marketplace.

We’ve said before, and Mike Orcutt stated it in the press release, that Foundation Partners seems to know cremation and its market.  We ran an article about a year and a half ago, that you can read here, which talked about Foundation Partners putting its reputation and money on the cremation market.  From what we have seen, and heard, that continues to be the story.
