Today we are introducing you to “Planturns” – urns that double as planters.  They have been created by Los Angeles based designer and woodworker C.C. Boyce.

According to Boyce, in this article from Mentalfloss.com,  where you can see photos of the urns, a friend’s father had passed away and that friend could not find a cremation urn that they liked so they asked Boyce to design and make a custom urn.  Boyce uploaded the urn to Kickstarter and orders started coming in from the death care industry. . . not only for human remains, but pets also.
